Zeiss Victory B TP 8x56 (1 Viewer)

Had anyone ever tried these or compared them to modern Zeiss FL’s or HT’s. Or does anyone have a link to any reviews on them, and thanks in advance. This is the model that came directly after the night owls, basically the same design with pop up eyecups and lead free glass.

This is the binocular I’m referring to, again any reviews or links would be great.

I have to admit I have no idea about this particular magnification and objective size in the B T*P* edition, but I know from Troubadour's articles and reviews that this first Victory range in general, with the little Zeiss square indentations in the rubber armouring was not regarded as a great success and that Zeiss withdrew it, to replace it with the far more successful T*FL range (and the 8x56 in T*FL is a killer lens). The 54mm HT models do not seem to share the same consistency of appreciation as their predecessor FL model but the full story there is not one I have more than a fleeting grasp of.

Hope that helps as a starter for ten!

Tom
