Zeiss TL pocket 10x25 . . . any good? (1 Viewer)

Foss,

Good looking bin, LOVE that color combo! I have the previous MIJ Terra 8x25 - excellent for the price IMO. As you probably know from reading the first "Similar thread " below the "ZEISS TL" stamp indicates the unique color and it comes with a draw string bag rather than a hard case. There is apparently no difference in size, weight, or optical performance of the TL vs the ED, although this model is currently MIC if that's an issue for you. Personally I much prefer the handling of the Terra 25 to the SW CL 25 and the image quality is extremely close. Would be interested in your evaluation if you have or acquire this model in 10x.

Mostly curious about them. 10x is a bit too much for me to keep steady and the FOV (5.5° ??? IIRC) too narrow. Something a bit better suited, in that price range, will some day find a permanent home in my car.

Hello friends, I always read them.

Does anyone know if this line has finally incorporated (as an update) caps for eyepieces and objectives? Everyone by now knows that lens protection is essential in optics. I can't understand how in this size they are not included. They should be by default, then it is up to each client to decide if they use them or not. It is something that I do not understand.

If it weren't for that detail, I would have already tried to have a copy, since from what I could investigate they are excellent quality binoculars.

Regards.

Pacci,

I don't think the Terras include caps, mine didn't. Most 20 and 25 mm bins do not include caps. But Opticron sells compact caps for both eyepieces and objectives which work very well.

Oh, thank you very much Mike. I did not know that data. Thank you for your advice.
