Yellow mystery in pond, Cambridge, England (2 Viewers)

Seemed quite large about 6 inches across and just inside a pond surrounded by reeds and bulrushes.

Have placed it on this forum but of course I am probably wrong.

There is usually a good display of yellow iris here but cannot think of a connection.

Well, it is about 6 inches across!
