Whitby and the surrounding area for birding (1 Viewer)

Now I am from Essex, but I will be up in the Whitby area for a week in August. Whilst there I want to see a dipper but I am trying to find a few species that are predominantly northern and would not be in Essex.

Apart from Maybeck, a place I am dying to visit, where would you suggest in the area to see non sea birds?

Not sure what August will be like but Golden Plover and Red Grouse are very easy to find up on the moors at the moment, Ring Ouzel also up there. Dipper may be present in Troutsdale, Saltholme RSPB may be worth a visit.
