Which time of year do you like birdwatching the best? (1 Viewer)

Winter, at the Baltic Coast or around a local lake or a walk through the woods. No leaves to block that view. Cold crisp air. You dress for -20°C, but harder for +45°C. During the Southern Hemisphere winter, Africa is then quite comfortable, temperature wise, plus the lodges aren't as full.

Definitely spring, few things thrill me more than seeing the migrants return, and the ~10-day window of peak songbird migration is just magical to me.

Fall is my second favorite.

Any time except for August when I'm home. Too hot and humid and the birds aren't much around in the afternoon.

If I'm in Maine by the coast August is just fine. Ocean birds are fun and it's less hot!

Here in western Nevada, spring, fall, winter, early summer in that order. Late summer's just too hot and dry, particularly under the current drought conditions.
