What type of Wren? (Northern California, USA) (1 Viewer)

I was only able to capture this single shot. It is not the best angle, but upon visual observation, this bird had a very short tail (almost no tail at all). What kind of wren is it?

I think that the apparent lack of barring suggests either Marsh or Bewick's.The general grey/brown colouration plus the darker legs are leading me to think Bewick's.
