What do the Stars on a thread mean? (1 Viewer)

I notice on some of the Longer threads there are Gold stars behind the heading.
Why? And how or who do they get there?

Hi Free,

If you look top left above the #1 of your post on this thread there is a 'Rate Thread' drop down menu.

Any member can select between 1 - 5 gold stars to place their rating on the thread. Subsequent posters can add their rating too. All of the 'votes' make up the total thread rating :t:

I added 3 stars but you can add another rating yourself for practice to see the effect.
