Vortex promise to repair or replace damaged binoculars for free regardless of where or when they were bought. However, I didn't realise until recently that they apparently have to be posted to the US for repair (where the company is based).
I bought them in the uk and assumed they would have a uk address where they could be repaired under the lifetime warranty.
I emailed Vortex several weeks ago but didn't get a reply.
Has anyone from the uk sent their bins there for repair/replacement under the warranty? Were you happy with the service and how long was it before you got them back? As there website states 'theft or loss not covered' I'm concerned about sending them.
