Dunno, they didn’t have superglue back then. 👍How about these Mike, circa 140 years old…and still looking fresh!
Be interesting to know how they did it? 😮👍
Got a 20kg bag of sunflower hearts arriving tomorrow. Another sure sign the birds will vanish for a while !The feeders seems to have slowed down now the weather has finally changed. Ungrateful buggers.

Some people ‘ave all the luck.😩We’ve got one due at the end of the week!
Put some nyger seed up in the week. Good to have a male Siskin on it yesterday. Pair of Nuthatch in the garden and a couple of Red Kites over a few days ago.
Only had one flyover calling Redpoll, one flyover Waxwing, and just the two visits from Siskin this Winter, hoping there might be more from the latter, as they are normally far more frequent.🙏Siskin have been visiting in the last few days, calling and singing when not on feeders. Up to 6 today and they brought along a friend.......only the 2nd ever in 23 years for the garden, a rather shy Lesser Redpoll but most welcome, albeit for just a few minutes. Brought a grin to a rather dull day.
We had lots of Redpoll years ago in another house we lived in, hoping to get them here one day. I know if Siskins visit then there os a chance they will bring along some Redpolls one day 👍Siskin have been visiting in the last few days, calling and singing when not on feeders. Great pics 👍Noticed an upturn in “action” yesterday, 15 Goldfinches around the feeders, normally 5,
my 8th Goldcrest for the year, a Blckp.pair + my 9th Red Kite over.
Three Sprawks displaying outback, followed by at least two “flybys” to include a female Sprawk being escorted off the premises by a Corvid…and the “rogue” Redwing is getting closer.😊
