Yes - a female of the form f. intermedia .

Has anyone had any success in finding Common Clubtail on the river Dee at Alford?

It's the one dragon I'd love to see and photograph.

So, if you have, any advice would be great regarding specific areas.

Large Red Damselfly
Azure Damselfly


One I have had in the past from the garden, but not a Damselfly I see many of anywhere, was this Variable Damselfly seen at RSPB Lakenheath earlier this week.

I managed to get up to 15 species for the year with Scarce Chaser yesterday and some Scarce Blue-tailed damselflies today (11.05) at a balancing pond for a recently built housing estate in our (used to be a) village on the northern edge of Southampton with the M27 droning nearby.

Had my first hairy dragonfly today kindly pointed out by a gentleman at North Point Pools at Wells next the Sea, also a mating pair of large red Damselfly

I saw my first flying Emperor of the year yesterday (13.05) and see that there was a Keeled Skimmer in Cornwall on 6th May Record of Keeled Skimmer (Orthetrum coerulescens) and Norfolk Hawker from Ham Wall in Somerset on 10th May https://irecord.org.uk/record-details?occurrence_id=41483875 and 3 male Lesser Emperors at Brogborough Landfill Lake in Bedfordshire on 11th.

An oversight on my part - the first White-legged Damselfly was on 29.04 in Devizes Record of White-legged Damselfly (Platycnemis pennipes)
