Tripod rest (4 Viewers)

I carry around my tripod on my shoulder and it gets heavy quickly and hurts after 30 odd minutes. Are there are shoulder foam pads or harnesses that people use to ease the pain?

This Op/Tech and similar straps work well with any tripod.

I prefer to use a Kirk Photo SS-1 security strap that clamps securely onto a Arca-Swiss plate attached to the scope and this makes it easy to have it carried with the strap across a shoulder and with only the tripod to manage I can do this with one hand.
So, to set up your scope for viewing, you put down the tripod, unsling the Kirk, unclip the Arca, and then mount the scope on the tripod. Seems awkward, but you seem to be making it work.

I've tried extra foam pipe insulation, Mulepack, going without 😱, and no set-up has been satisfactory. But, I love my scope views!
