Shrike for id - Goa (1 Viewer)

Help in identification of shrike taken on 21sep at GOA near carambolim lake dhado. Long tailed shrike is best match with other Option of bay backed shrike.
the color on back and it's coverage is what different from a typical long tailed.so. Any specific race or immature/ juvenile stage? Photo only one shot available is attached

I'm mainly bumping this, because I'd like to see an answer - but... I'd imagine long-tailed shrike is the only reasonable option.

This should be Long-tailed Shrike. It appears to have a rufous rump. Orangey edges to the tertials are another pointer, as is the dark tail. The apparent chestnut wash on the upperparts isn't typical and neither is the buff throat - the colours seem to be a bit off.

Can you share original pic? It looks bit purplish (or is it mobile screen that's wierd?)
Long-tailed/Bay-Backed Shrike to me. Colours are confusing.
No ssp. of Long-tailed shows such coloration (not sure if any one is left out)

Adult Long tailed shrike for me as well. The mask is perhaps too narrow and the tail feathers dont show much white edging for it to be a bay back. The throat colour is a bit unusual. (photo editing/camera settings artifact?)

Long-tailed for sure but regarding age, its actually an advanced 1st-w, confirmed by the presence of discreet barring to the upperparts which are retained juvenile feathers.

Not sure why but am getting slight hint of Red-Backed. A possible vagrant? But its most likely a Long-Tailed.
