Trying to check if this could be a whooping crane ? Sorry- do not have a better pic

I don't get a Wood Stork feel from this bird. Seems too tall and long necked. The coloration looks better for a first winter Whooping Crane to me, but I would not be willing to make a positive call from this picture. There have been a lot of Whooping Crane sightings around Aransas NWR recently. You could take a look at the eBird sightings for the area that you were in to see what others had observed there.
