Hello fellow members, I am a new member who has recently purchased some vintage Leitz Trinovid 10x40B binoculars, I live in the UK and I was wondering if anyone knows where I can purchase some new Leica rubber eye-cups and an ocular lens as one of the lenses is scratched. I am hoping that someone may know of a company that specialises in servicing binoculars and may have some new old stock left. As a first port of call, I contacted Leica customer care in Germany and they said they do not have any of the aforementioned parts and consequently do not service my old binoculars anymore. I would be very grateful for any advice given.

Many thanks to B and Jerry for your replies and info provided.

Hi Binastro, I tried 'East Coast Binocular repairs', but unfortunately they did not have them anymore, but thank you once again for your help.

Leica US service center has had them in stock. I got a pair a few years ago.
Good luck.
Jerry
Dear Jerry, I just wanted to update you and fellow members, I contacted Leica US, but unfortunately, they no longer have them in stock, but thank you for your help.

Hi Members, I recently purchased a Ross Steptron binocular dated between 1958 to 59. In the Ross catalogue dated 1953 it states the FOV to be 150yrds, in the 1962 catalogue it states the FOV to be 144yrds. I know this may be an impossible question to answer but does anyone know when they changed to 144yrds, I am interested to know which FOV I may have with mine. The catalogues also state that the prisms were coated at this time, was this normal practice for top manufacturers to also coat their prisms as well as lenses? Thank you for your consideration.
