Scotland - Glencoe/Rannoch Moor - Golden Eagle? (1 Viewer)

Hello!

These are pretty fuzzy shots as I only just caught this bird out of the corner of my eye for a few seconds before it disappeared behind the trees. I'm fairly certain it's not a Buzzard as I see Buzzards very regularly, and this bird seemed far too big. If I had a photo of the bird's underside I would know right away, but I only have these shots of its back. The third one is after it landed in the trees. It took off a second later. I'll be delighted if it is a Golden Eagle, but would rather know for sure. Thanks!

Yes, must be an adult osprey: tail pattern, narrow wings, whitish crown. Judging the size of a lone bird is notoriously unreliable - and ospreys are commonly seen well away from water.

Yes, think I see Osprey in that too Sue. They're never really far from water in that area, plenty of lochs on the moor, then there's Loch Leven and Loch Linnhe too.
