Sabah, Borneo - not sure what it is! (1 Viewer)

Another one from the Kinabatangan RIver, Sabah, Borneo 05-08-24. This one has me stumped...Appears pale underneath with blue shoulders, black wings, black face mask, quite a short sharp beak and longish tail? Merlin suggests Fairy Bluebird but that would be black underneath and different shape. I've had to lighten the photo considerably as against the light.

Have a look at Ruby-cheeked sunbird. Books are preferable to AI any day in my experience...

Replying to my own thread .....having looked again I think it might by Ruby-cheeked Sunbird in terrible light....would still welcome help!
