RSPB AG 80 Spotting Scope tripod? (1 Viewer)

Unfortunately the head on my Amazon basics tripod does not fit the RSPB AG80 scope. Can anyone recommend something that will fit under £50 please.

You will need to screw a qr-plate to the foot of your scope. I am certain one came with your tripod.

I must have lost it Ignatus.

Ah I get what you mean but scope keeps tipping forward an will not tighten up?

Must be poor Tripod mount?

There are two thread sizes in the photographic world, 1/4" and 3/8". There are also adapters from one size to the other. They just screw onto a 1/4" screw to make it fit into a 3/8" hole. Alternatively they can screw into a 3/8" hole to make a 1/4" screw fit.
Tripod heads can usually be tightened to stop horizontal/vertical movement and keep the camera/scope pointed in the desired direction. The manual for your tripod will tell you about this. If you have lost that too, it will possibly be available for download as a pdf somewhere on the fabulous interweb.

As you have two screw holes, use two scr we, this will stop the scope coming undone and give more peace of mind.
