Roadside Hawk or Double-toothed Kite? Please help! Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. (3 Viewers)

Hi all, first post here. As the title states I can not figure out which of these birds I saw this morning perched on a tree. From what I can see on Google images they are very similar looking birds. This one was medium in size, very similar in size to a laughing falcon that was perched on the same branch the morning previous.

Even more confusingly, I saw it glide away (no photo unfortunately) and it looked like it had red/brown wingtips on its upper side.

Any help very much appreciated!
