Purple Finch and House Wren? (1 Viewer)

Birding since 2006!
While birding on Petrie Island this morning, I came across this finch on the gravel road. At first I thought it was a sparrow of some type, but when I saw this picture I changed my ID to female Purple Finch. Is this correct?

The second bird was singing in a dead tree on the edge of a small bay - I heard it long before I saw it, and because of the overcast day most of my photos were of silhouettes. I have increased the exposure. Is this a House Wren? Here is a brief clip of some video I took of it singing:

Thanks very much as always!
