Peregrine falcon in Pittsfield Massachusetts (1 Viewer)

I photographed a Peregrine falcon on top of the Crown Plaza in downtown Pittsfield, MA today. Is it unusual to see falcons in February in Masachusetts? It had a green band on its left leg. (I don't know how to post my photo of the bird, since this is my first posting.)

Hi, Curt! A warm welcome to you from all of us on staff here at BirdForum!

Sorry I can't help with your question about peregrines in MA in February but I'm sure someone will be along shortly who can.

If you'd like to upload a photo as an attachment to a message, first you want to make sure your photo is no more than 200 kb in size. Usually, about an 800 x 600 pixel or smaller JPG will keep it under that limitation. Then make sure you're in "go advanced" mode to reply to a message here on the forum, and find the "manage attachments" box. Follow the prompts but be sure to WAIT until you see your photo's filename appear in the window to insure it's been uploaded before you are done.

Hope to see your photo soon! :t:

Attached is a picture of that Peregrine (hopefully). Note the green band on its left leg.
