The last time I birded Carara NP, I bumped into a birder that I knew. This time, it happened again. Someone different. It wasn't the same person still there. A small world. A few scenery pics from through the first 26 days. Scenery attracts less attention as I maintain at least one tick per day. 😀

The first of three days at sea has started with Blue Whales.

Day 27 of 40 was the first of three days at sea. I added three countries to those in which I have birded but with limited diversity in each - not even a Feral Pigeon or a House Sparrow!

Nicaragua - 12
El Salvador - 17
Guatemala - 10

The highlight of the day was Tahiti Petrel but the myriad of non-avian biodiversity was fantastic. The group dynamic is the oddest that I have ever experienced. I will reserve judgement for the remaining week but it is certainly likely to shape my future choices.

Day 28 of 40 was my first without a lifer & also no trip ticks or year ticks. Our second day of three at sea & our first in Mexican waters. I had ten Mexico ticks. 😅
