Owl pellets...or fox kack? (1 Viewer)

matt green

Norfolkman gone walkabout
Picked these up for a friend who has recently been looking out for Owl pellets to disect...on closer examination I wonder if I haven't just picked up a load of sh** instead?

They were found directly under a rather ideal looking Owl perch, both measure around two and a half inches in length ~ they also have a slight 'aroma' about them which I guess isn't good news for my wouldbe pellet dissecting friend!!!!!

Your thoughts welcomed...

Matt

Matt,

Not easy to tell for sure, but I'd go for fox cr*p looking at the right-hand photo especially. Pellets tend to be greyer in colour and "looser" with obvious fur (though that can vary of course).

Cheers,
Badger

Cool photos, though, Matt! The one on the left has the face of a Lesser Demon on it! My dog rolls in fox poo whenever he finds it. Smells absolutely awful.

OMG so it does...I'm jinxed!!

Why couldn't I have found one with the face of christ emblazoned down one side ~ Owl pellets/fox-blocks will somehow never be the same ever again!!

Matt
