Is anyone aware of Ospreys on or around Lock Sunart on the west coast of Scotland. My Daughter is going there tomorrow for a week with friends and they would like to see one if theres one nearby.

Thank you :t:

They could take a drive to Boat of Garten and see the 2.5 ospreys there (a pair plus an egg!) at the Centre.

Loch Garten is a lovely experience and a great set up, we went about 4 times on our holiday last year. Let me know how the holiday goes as we are going to Loch Sunart in July, hope to see my first Goldie and Sea Eagle

I would have thought the best idea was to stop at a place on the drive to Ardnamurchan as I think an Osprey sighting on Loch Sunart would be pretty rare.

If the trip can afford to take some time to stop at Loch Lomond, they may have some success. Or if they can manage a short diversion on the way up, and head for Aberfoyle and its surrounding lochs.

Alternatively, on the assumption that the trip is crossing over on the Corran Ferry, they could take the slightly longer route via Oban, and stop at Loch Awe on the way.

EDIT: have just read the date on this one! They can always try on the way home too..!
