Would I have seen one this morning in Plymouth in the park have distant picture on my phone on the ground Alan

A lot passing through. We’ve probably had 6 or 8 seen locally in south wales in last ten days with more in Somerset . I’d guess it’s possible on any coastal or watery location in south west but still unlikely compared to light morph buzzards

Hi Alan and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. We have a couple from Devon who regularly post in the Gallery and have recorded Ospreys in the area (Budleigh Wetlands), but seem to be mostly in the Autumn (Sept-Dec) but that's just a quick look through their images.

It will certainly become more and more likely that they will be seen around Plymouth and maybe actually start to breed in Devon as well. I'll try to get more info from them as to when they see them.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

Two separate ospreys through Weston super mere this morning. I would estimate at least 20 travelling up through West Country this week presumably some of which went through Plymouth/south coast of cornwall
And Devon

Still more common confusion species obviously
