I'm losing it!
Hi Folks

At the risk of being a bit thick I would like to ask a question.
"Does this picture show what I think it shows?"

Not sure myself. Nice picture though - a fluke?? ;)

One of about 200 pictures taken, with some good shots worth keeping so not a fluke but it was much harder to get the tail shots than the normal surfacing shots as they were much quicker and sporadic.

Taken in the Juan de Fuca Islands off Washington (and Canada) a couple of weeks ago.

The tail fluke shape and colouration does look like that of a Killer Whale and if the other body part which is sticking out of the water is the dorsal fin, that points to a pretty tall fin so the animal could be a Killer Whale but I cannot be certain. Maybe someone with more knowledge will comment.

So are you asking if the object to the right of its tail is something specific or am i misinterpreting your original post?
