Has anyone got any experience of these? I cant seem to find any info on internet, presumably they were discontinued along time ago by opticron.

Any comments or views would be much appreciated.

I had an 8x42 pre SE it was very good but with quite noticeable CA, however the SE versions are very very good, the best value Opticron roof to me, I actually think they`re better than the pre mg Dba.

Not sure if this helps but

The Opticron archive list doesn't list an Imagic 10x32. It may be incomplete of course.

I'm not as enthusiastic about the Imagic range as others here. I've tried quite a few and didn't find them as sharp as other Opticron models.

Seems there was an Opticron Imagic 10x32 BGA ASF reviewed on the KikkertSpesialisten site :
FOV 105m @ 1000m
Minimum focus 2m
112x127mm
618g
No actual figure for eye relief but high score for use with spectacles.

Here's the Google translation of the contents of the comments column ;) :

"Phase corrected. Good backlight (little blur). Remarkably high contrast makes the binoculars better than expected in low light. Modern, down-sliding eye relief gives eyeglass carriers well field. Waterproof, rugged construction and rubber armor with good grip. Rubberised focus wheel well to use even with gloves. Good minimum focusing distance. Soft genuine leather case that is compact enough to go down in a field jacket pocket. Diopterring with klikkstops. Compact binoculars suitable example hiking and hunting in any weather."

Maybe the 10x32 spec didn't make it into the upgraded BGA PC ASF T range. The roof prism Imagics were pretty high up in the Opticron hierarchy behind the DBAs and BGA Classic.

The 10x32 variants were last sold in the mid-2000s and thus didn't make the archive - but the Wayback Machine has some fragments of pages from the first Opticron website:

Attached are the 2001 and 2002 catalogue pages for the Imagic BGA just for interest. We have digital copies of the product catalogue back to 1998.

Cheers, Pete
