Picumnus limae Snethlage, 1924 OD Neue Vogelarten aus Nord-Ost-Brasilien - Journal of Ornithology

João Leonardo Lima (1874-1936) Brazilian field-naturalist, collector (Picumnus).

João Leonardo Lima (1899‑1917)
João L. Lima, also a travelling naturalist of MZUSP (Pinto, 1945) collected 87 egg sets in São Paulo, mainlyin the municipality of São Paulo, which are deposited atthe MZUSP, and one egg set at ZMB. To avoid confusion, it is important to mention that José Lima, his son, alsocollected 13 egg sets in São Paulo between 1930-1938, mostly in Itatiba. José Lima started to travel and collectwith his father in 1926 (Pinto, 1945). Also, a collector named “Luiz” (not mentioned in Pinto, 1945) collected 23 egg sets between 1900-1903, and in 1917, mainly in São Paulo municipality, which are deposited at MZUSP and might have been collected with João L. Lima.

So maybe a father son issue? As well F. Lima may count against the claim.

... preparador, sr. João. E. Lima, dedicou...

Colour variation and taxonomy of Picumnus limae Snethlage, 1924 and P. fulvescens Stager, 1961 (Piciformes: Picidae), [here], by Rafael Dantas Lima, Barbara Mizumo Tomotani & Luís Fábio Silveira (2020):
Picumnus limae was described by Emilie Snethlage (1924) based on seven specimens (syntypes) collected in August 1915 by Francisco de Queiroz Lima ...

He is mentioned as well here Contribuições do Serviço Meteorológico do Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi

But note as well a Justino Queiróz Lima is mentioned in context with the museum. There is no de in his name and Queiróz with accent. We can find him here t.7 (1910) - Boletim do Museu Goeldi (Museu Paraense) de Historia Natural e Ethnographia - Biodiversity Heritage Library as well as from Estado do Ceará or View of Cinquenta anos de investigação ornitológica p. 292.

But of course life dates are still missing.
