And at 14:00.
Hi Robin.
This one was there again/still at about 4:30 today, in the same tree. Lots of apples left so maybe worth a look if you are in the city.
James
Nice image there gclarke1, I have not any chance to see the waxwing over the weekend but I went and had a peek this afternoon and it was empty there. I guessed it has moved on...
I finally caught up with the Ber Street Waxwing this morning on my third attempt. A nice year tick, albeit, like Sacha, binocular-less.
Along with the Waxwing, 2014 has already produced Little Egret, Pink-footed Goose and Teal within the inner-ring road. Peregrine, Sparrowhawk, Grey Wagtail and Stock Dove are seen most days (the latter surprises me, does anyone have any more info on nearby breeding sites etc?) All in all, not a bad city for birds.
I would love to hear of any unusual/interesting 2014 sightings in the city centre as and when they happen. I may take a leaf out of James' book and write a report.
Cheers,
Will

Stock Dove calling at UEA yesterday, normally I've only seen fly overs but there's a couple hanging around...
