Yellow legged gull - adult on fresh marsh this morning
Dunlin - 39 on fresh marsh
Spotted redshank - 3 on volunteer marsh
Velvet scoter - 3 offshore
Chiffchaff - 1 on Meadow Trail
Water pipit - 1 on fresh marsh
Avocet - 7 on fresh marsh
Greenshank - 2 on tidal pool including a colour ringed bird
Hen harrier - male east over fresh marsh at dusk
Peregrine - 1 at Thornham Point

UEA seem to be the site for them a couple years ago, besides an unreliable report early this year they're pretty much non existent in the county this year. Crossbill much the same though the latter species is a little easier now.

How sad it is that you relish saying that you've been called worse than "a despicable human being" and you are only just twenty years old. In hindsight, I think I might have 'over egged the pudding' by refering to you as a human being...

I was actually referring to the record first reported round the feeders rather than your record by the river. But unsurprisingly you'd perk up!

I couldn't care less about what you say to me, or say about me. That's the thing. It's not that I relish any of your comments its that I don't care what you think of me. I don't know you, you don't know me. We've met in passing very briefly that is it. You are right, I don't particularly like you because you've been involved in birding / twitching for two or three years at the most. And yet you are able to offer opinions on every single bird report you hear about. I think it all started with the pheobe and your barbed, sarcastic and very much uncalled for comments. I sussed you out as a keyboard warrior, and worse still; a cyber bully. To which you then went on the attack and have forced me to block you on twitter and facebook.

Anyways, as requested, I'll leave this now but with a final anecdote. I was once behaving like a spoilt brat, trying to get my own way all the time and my Captain called me out and said "Robinson, it's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice."

Given that the Twite and the Shorelarks sound rather hit and miss I'll start with the Harrier as suggested and then play it by ear. Incidentally, by way of alternative "stocking-fillers" can anyone tell me how reliable/easy the RL Buzzard south of Titchwell and the Iceland Gull at Kings Lynn are?

Hi all,

Back from my trip to Norfolk. I was lucky to get some great views of the Pallid Harrier, distant views of the three Thornham Shorelark, brief views of some Thornham Twite and crippling views of the Kings Lynn Iceland Gull.

Believe it or not I don't like the attention. I just react (often too quickly) too subjects which often back fire on me and land myself in more trouble than I intended. The Phoebe comment was always intentionally a joke, can't judge a person for sticking the neck out and calling a Phoebe in the UK! The majority of the time I'll be sarcastic but that's tricky to show online and often what's meant as a joke is completely misinterpreted. For example David's original photo of me with the Desert Wheatear was originally a joke but it massively spiralled out of control.

You're the second person now who assumes I have only been birding a few years. I've birded my whole life it's only recently since the formation of NGB and moving to Norfolk that I've become more 'known' for a better or for worse (mostly worse). Maybe at times I comes across as a bit of a keyboard warrior not sure I can deny that but I'd never call myself a cyber bully. You're the one who has resulted to name calling whenever we've had confrontation. Your comments here and the ones on twitter, south park related if I remember correctly? So you cannot possibly call me a cyber bully when its YOU who has used offensive name calling towards me.

I was obviously aware you'd blocked me on twitter, justified there. If you had on Facebook then I'm not sure the only time I've come across you there was on a PWC post and again that was a very jokey comment.

But fine carry on assuming I'm all these things you claim me to be. I can promise you I'm not. I doubt I'll be around much longer so there's no worries about me calling you out anything, any longer :t:

Spotted redshank - 1 on volunteer marsh
Hen harrier - male inland over the saltmarsh mid morning then again over the reserve late afternoon
Velvet scoter - 2 offshore
Avocet - 9 on fresh marsh
Yellow legged gull - adult on fresh marsh

Nout on twitter so can only assume it's either a mistake (male hen) or there's actually a male pallid hanging around! I'd prefer the latter!

Crikey, well worked out mate - it isn't one or it is one. Einstein indeed, and concluded by the fact that there's nothing on Twitter. Jeez, I'm glad I cut my teeth in the good old days. Bring back Twitching and Birding World please.

Had a look around Little Snoring airfield and Kettlestone Common today but to no avail.
