NJ. When best to remove these sparrows from living in my house (2 Viewers)

I have sparrows that live in a hole in the clapboard of my house. I need for them to leave but I do not want to harm them or do it when they have babies still in there. What would be the kindest time of year to safely move them out and plug up the hole in the side of my house? Thank you!

Well there would not be any youngins in the nest for sure in the winter. I'm wondering if there might be a late summer/early fall time I could usher them out without it being dire for them.

Most small songbirds will (attempt to) raise multiple broods in the same nest from springtime until it's time to migrate in the fall.
If you keep a close watch on the nest you might be able to notice when the first batch of youngsters hops out. For several days their parents will continue feeding them outside the nest, before laying new eggs.
