First one is a domestic Mallard variant, Indian Runner or similar

Second is some kind of new world flycatcher, maybe Northern Beardless Tyrannulet, but I'm really not sure as have no NA field guide

#1: is a possible Indian Runner x Mallard. At least the duck shows a too big breast for a pure breed Indian Runner and to short legs.
#2: Possible Greater Pewee

Image 2. is an Empid....and I'm thinking either Pacific-slope or Cordilleran Flycatcher, being influenced by extended eye-ring at rear, perhaps suggestively shorter pp...and range?

cheers

I think the second is a Willow Flycatcher, the pale bleached looking southwestern susbp.
Pewee would have a dark tip to mandible and a brownish vested look across breast.
