This opens the door to some more obscure warblers, but I don't have any of those so one eponym is worth another:

Where is the eponym, you ask me? Well, birdsoftheworld has this one as Salvadori's Weaver.

It's a bird I was very happy to see in breeding plumage, nest-building, at the Dawa river, one of very few places in the itinerary we could see it in Ethiopia.

That's quite the eyering!
It reminds me of another bird with a big eyering:

Sincere apologies for the picture quality, but the bird was in dense bamboo, this was back in 2008 and it was the first time I used my camera, a Canon 350D (Digital Rebel for the 'mericans).

It reminds me of another bird with a big eyering:

Adding another species with an eye-ring, seen on the tiny Duchess Islet east of New Guinea. We had to find it quickly and leave in a hurry with a storm approaching, making for a scary and very wet boat ride back to Normanby island:

If people are reading this topic, don't know how it works but can possibly share a bird (or 2):
Go to the first page of this topic, and you'll see a link to a google spreadsheet ( there are 2: take the file with 'copy of' in the title).
After opening the spreadsheet, check the 3rd tab (reverse). You'll find all birds not yet mentioned as seen by any forum participant.
If you see a bird on that tab that you have seen, reply and give it a number. We need 320 more to get to 10.000 and I am sure some forum members have seen some of these birds. I've got between 10-15 to go.
