Massachusetts USA, Swallow or Swift? (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Can this bird be identified from the photographs?

It looks to me like a swallow or swift, based on the dark body and straight tail it looks most like the chimney swift in my bird guide. It was flying above a pond. There are often tree swallows in the same location.

(The second and fourth photos are brightened with an image editor to bring out any detail that might be in the photos but I'm not sure they represent the "reality" of what the birds actually look like)

Thanks
