Large Eagle ID from Karachi, Pakistan (1 Viewer)

This was a very large raptor seen riding on thermals near the coast.
Seemed like a regular Steppe at first but the sun was above it, a good friend mentioned the possibility of Imperial. Neat fingers remind me of Steppe.

Agree. Very rectangular wings giving "massive" impression. I think greater spotted is a good shout

Dark trailing edge to the wings and short legs are better for Steppe Eagle

Agreed. Not to mention the huge white crescent all around the primary coverts and further inwards...

Seemed of a fitting size for a Steppe from my experience as well. The habitat is full of Steppes. The white edges to Primary coverts is almost iconic Steppe, although the light is bad here, it is still visible.

Judging the size of a lone bird is notoriously unreliable - and those two species aren't very different in size anyway.

Du to its' clear white edges to primary covers is steppe eagle and also the way of holding its wings just reminds me of steppe
