Sorry, pics aren't great but I wonder if anyone can confirm what this young bird is. By the way it has been moving around my garden I had thought it was a Robin but I'm not sure.

Thanks :t:

Thanks Cristian and bitterntwisted :t:

Yes, I wondered... hoped it was a robin... ah well :)

Have a good weekend |:d|

Hi there Cheshire Birder |:d|

They have heaps of charm - I agree with you completely. We are lucky enough to see Dunnocks visit our garden regularly and to see their young follow them around too. The juvs are usually in groups and that is one of the reasons that I thought this single one could be a robin.

I have enjoyed seeing so many young birds just fledged visit my garden and captured video of them too. Recently I have posted on some on my blog see http://blog.shirlsgardenwatch.co.uk/2009/06/as-june-bows-out.html .

I have never seen a juvenile robin visit but I could guess they visit too. Thanks, enjoy your weekend :t:

Shirl :)

Keep an eye out for young robins , they are like your dunnocks , but more golden spangled, they should be fairly easy to find right now!
