Hi, I’m hoping someone can help…..I work with an owl conservation group. Jackdaws building their nests inside the boxes is a real problem…even to the point of trapping young owlets in . Does anyone have any foolproof deterrent ideas?
thank you

Hi, Justine. Welcome to the forum. I think you will find us a friendly and helpful group. I can’t help with your question.

Hi Justine and a warm welcome from me too. I really can't be of much help I don't think, but it was my thoughts that Jackdaws usually nested in chimney shaped structures, so perhaps providing nest boxes like that for them.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I hope to hear about all the birds you see when out and about. Keep up the good work with the owls!
