is this a Richard'd Pipit of Tree? taken in Maagan Michael,Israel 19.4.21 (1 Viewer)

Hello Shmuel,

agree with Brian:

its a Tree Pipit imo. Slightly stout and broadbased bill giving it the right trangular impression is good against Meadow Pipit, while Richards Pipit has an even larger thrush-like bill.

I was surprised by the appearant greyish and pale citrin-yellowish hues, shifting impression towards Meadow Pipit. No it isnt one with that stout bill, head pattern including "dropped earcovert spot" and lack of bold stripes to the flanks, but Tree Pipit regular is a smoother, warmer coloured bird with cream and buffish-browner hues when I see them in spring in Germany

Yes, the words from Kuzeycem and Lou come into my mind again. Thanks to them, and all who have personal experience from asian locations!
