Interesting Indigo bunting in Montreal (1 Viewer)

Hi Everyone,

This morning I found what I thought was at first a molting Indigo bunting (photo below), but it sang a strange song and I took a recording (again, below). On analysis I thought it sounded a lot like a Lazuli bunting.

Also, I noticed that around the eye it showed some purple coloration, and when you light enhance the photo the purple is clearly more visible.

I have more photos if that would help.

Does anyone have any views on whether this is a hybrid or not?

many thanks!
