I think I have got some great gear here. Its given me some really awesome captures indeed. This M43 camera is said to be the smallest system camera available. The GM1 really small, does a really good job. But, however, on the other hand, at the same time, its so small it doesn't have a viewfinder. So to focus you need to find the sharpness on the screen on the back of the camera, which is also very small. I find it very difficult to see the pretty small focus peeking markings, especially in sunny conditions also with the screen brightness turned up to max.

There is a Wifi option with connectivity to a remote app in the phone. Anyone used the phone as a screen? Maybe its easier to find focus there? Or its totally impossible to use the phone and follow the subject and focus at the same time.

What model could be a good step up? Lumix GM5, G80 or perhaps some Oly? Articulating screen could be really useful because then I don't need to change height of scope to view screen with this angled scope. Maybe the viewfinder isn't that important when shooting video as you probably don't want your head jammed up against the camera. Correct?

Example video with this setup:

I did a test using the remote control function over Wifi. The screen showed nicely on the mobile phone, including the focus peeking. It requires a few steps to get going, so its not for a situation where there is a hurry. But the 6 inch phone screen is much easier to view than the one on the camera.
