hello all ,
my name is Les and I live in Hastings New zealand , and i have come to your forum with a conundrum. I can hear a bird . I lone single bird that is calling without any reply . Its a call i have not heard before . It sounds as a lonely mournfull sound and i wonder if the animal is in distress , yet i cant find it or see it .
Does the forum have ways to listen to a recording and maybe identify the bird ?
cheers
les

I tried using BirdNET to ID the call to no avail. You might download and try that app because it is either location specific or the location may help the ID--not sure how it is coded.
