I’m looking at buying my first scope and came across this locally can anyone tell me more about it and if it would be a good purchase at $300 Canadian?
What questions should I ask the seller?

It's an original Nikon RA (rubber armoured) series from the late 80/early 90. Standard glass with simple eyepiece design. 150 - 200 CAD would be a more reasonable asking price.
