ok thanks :) are there any other hawks with a tail of that colour? or should the red/brown tail always be a give away that its a red tailed hawk?
 
Great job on capturing classic fieldmarks. Bewildering array of Red-Tail flavours.
Like Fugl mentions, they're the only raptor to show rufous red tail (conditional...if they have it)
