Has anybody tried the Starscope Monocular? I want to know if it is REALLY better than a $3000 telescope. (1 Viewer)

A deliberate typo so they can’t be sued by the real Joe Rogan. Not sure why I’d trust a comedian for optics recommendations anyway. Or anything else for that matter.

Cheap monoculars can be surprisingly good. I have a £12 Apexel, sadly discontinued, that I use to check focus on my laser engraver, essentially a standoff loupe.
A comedian? Really, huh.:)

I’ve never watched anything of his, I relied on Wikipedia’s definition: “Joseph James Rogan is an American podcaster, UFC color commentator, comedian, actor, and former television host.”

I think cheap monoculars can be surprisingly good also, but I don't think this one is. Haha!

More relevantly for the sake of his endorsement, Rogan is a serious martial artist and interviewer, for whom I've developed respect due to his years of insightful and enlightening podcasts. He's been incredibly misrepresented in the mainstream media because his platform subverts the usual channels to reach the public, which the mainstream media hated A LOT MORE before it became so common-- and he was the first podcaster to use a non-mainstream platform to reach more viewers and subscribers than cable television; so they targeted him.

Regardless, I'm getting my money back for the scam through PayPal, but it's still gonna cost me about $60 in shipping. I've also reported the company (Starscope and their active partner Global Performance Commerce, Inc.) to the BBB.

You should have demanded a prepaid return shipping label. Misidentified items is fraud if deliberate, and not something you should be on the hook for. If they refuses, open a claim with PayPal.
