Hard cordura case for SF 10x32 ? (5 Viewers)

Hello together,

I would like to have a hard case for my SF 10x32 in order to carry it in a backpack safely, without worrying during a longer bike tour. Usually I carry it in its original soft case along with a harness on the bike and pull it easily out when needed, but I want to have it stored safely when the trail gets harder and more dangerous. I don’t want to risk to break it if I might fall with the bike.

I know I need more biking skills 😂, or I could just use the supplied hard case of the SF 42, but it’s a bit too big.

Maybe the Terra ED 42 case fits also with extended eyecups? But the spec of the Terra tells that the Terra is 8mm shorter.

Does anyone have a good solution for that issue?

Thank you

I've got a terra 42, with rainguard and internal objective covers fitted it is 145mm long, it fits in the hard clamshell with the covers fitted and eyecups screwed in with a 14/15mm extra gap left. So it "might" fit the sf but you could do with trying one at a shop to make sure.

Thank you that helps. My SF is with rainguard and covers and my custom personal eyepiece setting (with o rings a few mm between the last clickstops) ~162mm long. It might fit with the official 2nd clickstop but I guess the big focuser will not fit in the case.

But I will try it at a dealer.

I really like the Maven hard foam cases. They are available in different sizes, and you want to get one a little bigger than your binoculars so you have room for your strap. I think the mid-size would be about right for your Zeiss SF 10x32. Here is how my Zeiss SFL 8x30 looks in the compact case with the strap off to the side.
