Guess the bird- (35 Viewers)

Yes, decided to continue from my local patch and walk to a reserve that usually gets Barn owls. During the walk I spotted a large flock of Gadwall descending and while looking through the flock I spotted two Common cranes flying above the flock. After a few failed attempts to go see them in Norfolk and Southern Lincolnshire was awesome to get them locally.

Glad you got to see them locally. I went to Lakenheath Fen to see them recently, there were six there at the time.

Usually, they are easy to see from the train on the Breckland line. The problem is it would be a fairly brief view - unless you pull the communication cord and that would be expensive!
