Gluepot Birds in March 22 (1 Viewer)

Summer is coming to an end; only 32°C today and very pleasant it is too. We've had some rain over summer; much like birds that come and go some years and others nothing... anyway a few puddles and a refreshing drink for the Mallee and other plants. I've been volunteering as an assistant ranger for a few days but managed to photograph a few of the local birds...

Gluepot is looking great for visitors so come on across, up, down or from wherever...

Thanks so much for the reminder of my day spent at Gluepot back in November 2019.

We called in there on the way back from the Flinders Ranges. This is a report I did for it when I got home: Two Months of Lifers Down Under

It was a good job we left when we did though as there was a thunderstorm and torrential rain that evening. We didn't really want to get 'glued' in LOL

Thanks Delia, it's Monday today, quite warm and there are a line of thunderstorms approaching there Gluepot area just as when you n were here. We are always grateful for rain although I need to leave Friday so hoping the gluepot road is not too sticky. Chris

I was in that vicinity in November 2019 too, Delia! Must have just missed you.

We skipped Gluepot because we'd heard it was dry as a bone. We headed a bit further south, and just over the Vic border had the best morning's birding in the mallee of the entire trip- pretty much cleaning up on the local specialities.
