I will post the last coupla days of actual birding and final pics when i get back over the weekend.

I am currently typing from Tblisi Airport where I catch the BA 0730 flight to Heathrow. It takes 5 hours but due to the time difference i land at 0930 local so will be home by about 1230.

The last 3 days have been more or less continual rain with the odd hour of respite - truly awful. We managed about 193 species but had we clicked with specials and been able to visit areas that we simply would not take the hire car it should have been around 220 this would include some common species we simply never saw or heard.....

The Goshawk was accompanied by a bloke who was charging a few Gel for photographs standing with it. I was initially suspicious but it turned out it was 8yo had an injured wing and was one of several he had that had been handed to him after receiving the pro bono services of a local vet. These birds will almost certainly been shot by a local gun-toting w@nker. He charges to cover costs etc.....

Last but not least - a trio of Stinky Pinkies that brightened up yet another day in Gloomy Georgia.....
