Last week I saw my first Small Whites, and yesterday my first Small Tortoiseshell. Probably the most common I see most years, along with the Orange Tip.

My first Orange Tip of the year, a male, between Farnborough and Fleet this morning. There is not a better colour in nature than that orange. (Discuss!)
