The smaller bird in pic 2 is a Dunlin.Managed a distant shot of the kingfisher as it crossed the pond, also not quite sure of the smaller bird in image 2.

Yellow browed Warbler this morning in small dene to north of B1286 just north of Seaham Hall
great shows of kingfishers at ch-le-st riverside yesterday at one point thay were 3 sitting close by each other....
I went for a long walk today and where Lambton Cokeworks (circa 4:34) was, there was about 50 lapwings and about 100 gulls all came up into the sky, obviously being flushed. Is there a big lake or something there now and if so, is there any chance of getting there ?
Peregrine Flacon, Great Lumley, 12:50ish. - UNUSUAL.
Maybe that's what flushed them.
But thats 4 hours earlier than when I was there.
