Coney Meadow and Adjoining Areas (5 Viewers)

A Little Egret in a tree along the river between Salwarpe and Ladywood this morning.
2 Kingfishers
4 Lesser Redpolls between Salwarpe and Ladywood plus another near Tapenhall pool
2 Coots on Tapenhall pool
Raven
Buzzards, Kestrel and Sparrowhawk

Male Stonechat near Copcut Lane yesterday (as per photo above) 👍
 
Late cold afternoon walk ,high number of gulls flying towards WW, several large flocks of Starlings heading towards Droitwich. Seemed a Song thrush singing every 200m.
 
A Little Egret along the river adjacent to Coney Meadow this morning.
Male Stonechat again near the railway cutting along Copcut Lane
3 Siskins Droitwich Community Woods
Lots of winter Thrushes along Copcut Lane
Great Spotted Woodpecker
 
A Snipe flew from Coney reedbed this morning
A Kingfisher caught a small fish along the river
Lots of winter Thrushes along Copcut Lane

Good views of Cetti's Warbler along the canal
A Coot on the canal at Porter's Mill and another on Tapenhall pool
Decent numbers of Lesser Redpolls - including 10+ near Ladywood and others at Porter's Mill and Tapenhall

Coot on the canal again at Porter's Mill yesterday plus one on Tapenhall pool

A short walk early afternoon after heavy rain - generally very quiet. Most birds keeping low in the blustery weather.

The highlight was a male Stonechat near the rail track along Copcut Lane
 
5 or 6 Chiffchaffs this morning in the Salwarpe - New Mill - Harford Hill triangle.
